From Electronic Literature to print, Stephanie Strickland is no stranger to writing poetry across platforms. Her new collection, How the Universe Is Made: Poems New & Selected reaches for the edge of the universe through science, mathematics, riddles, and code. She examines grief through a lens Dan Beachy-Quick describes as “how history hides histories;” these are the histories of mythic, historic, and mystic women. Poet Karen Leona Anderson says, “The arrangement is illuminating and dimensional, a great accomplishment, a continuous unfolding, a revelation that won’t end.”
