Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Grab some Pinot and a pint and enjoy an evening of poetry with three writers from around the country. Brenda Shaughnessy, author of The Octopus Museum, shares her  bold and scathingly beautiful feminist poems which imagine what comes after our current age of environmental destruction, racism, sexism, and divisive politics. Lana K. Austin, author of Blood Harmony, potently depicts the interconnectedness of musical genres, her years singing blood harmony with her brother in foster care, and traces her kin's roots back to Scotland and Ireland. Brian Brodeur, author of Every Hour Is Late, sets his poetry firmly in contentious political realities, yet informs by history and myth. Even his private subjects—fatherhood, family, faith—resonate with the tensions of the current historical moment. Sponsored by Split This Rock.
